Here are nine honest ways to get the best deal, including a few the big booking sites would rather you didn’t know.
1. Book early — especially July & August
Island fleets are finite: when the good cars are gone, they’re gone, and what’s left gets expensive. Booking 2–3 months ahead for high season routinely saves 20–40% versus walking up in August — and it’s the only way to guarantee an automatic or a 7-seater, which sell out first.
2. Book direct with a local company
Aggregators and international brands add commissions and counter fees to the same island cars. Booking directly with a Naxos company means the price on the site is the price you pay — and when you email a question, the person answering owns the cars.
3. Don’t pay for airport counters — get free delivery instead
